Teen Sex (Ed) Is Good.

By David Hershkovits

It's hard to talk about sex without sounding too clinical. Without making it sound mechanical... why I'm even having a problem writing about it right now! It's even harder to talk to teens about it, the ones who have the most to lose by giving into their desires before they are ready for it. Getting the right tone to make sex ed for teens enjoyable in a video that doesn't pander or scare seems downright impossible. Yet Nikol Hasler has done just that with her Midwest Teen Sex Show. Here's the first video of the series on female masturbation. There's more on YouTube and a pod cast to boot.

The Blood Rose: "The First Sex-Horror Film"

By Dennis Dermody

blood rose

Billed as the "First Sex-Horror Film," The Blood Rose is a 1969 French variation of Fanju's Eyes Without a Face by Claude Mulot. It's got plenty of nudity and violence but it's artful and wonderful too and thanks to Mondo Macabro, this uncut gorgeous transfer of this creepy carnal classic can be yours for a song.

The DVD features fun extras, such as fascinating stories from good-looking director Mulot, who was in his 20s when he embarked on this film. Mulot drowned in a tragic swimming accident in 1986. Mulot was a fan of the horror genre and he infused this movie with poetry along with breasts and blood. It's about a painter, Frederic Lansac, (Philippe Lemaire) who has a remote castle where he lives with his beautiful bride-to-be, Anne (Anny Duperey), who was hideously disfigured by a fire. A dubious doctor (Howard Vernon) is dragged in, and gorgeous women are captured and sacrificed in hopes of restoring Anne's beauty. It all goes very wrong. Mulot went on to make hard core sex films in France ironically under the name "Frederic Lansac" (the same name of the painter in this film). He made one of the best XXX films I ever saw: Pussy Talk (1975) about a woman with a possessed vagina. I saw this movie in New Orleans with a group of friends and it was fabulously sexy and funny.

Alexyss Tylor's Vagina Power (Maybe Not Safe for Work but a Must See!)

By Ann Magnuson

You may laugh but Atlanta public access talk show host Alexyss K. Tylor really tells it like it is! This video is making the rounds (much like the dawgs Alexyss has 'dated') and is probably not safe for work and young children's ears but I think Ms. Tylor's hard-won wisdom should be heard by every teenage girl before her first menses. Talk about A Vagina Monologue! (Eve Ensler only wishes!) Alexyss speaks the truth more plainly than those lame sex education films we were marched (boys separate from girls) into the junior high school auditorium to watch. Sadly, it is our own experience with those who abuse their penis power that ultimately teach us the hard way (no pun intended). But the good news is that I finally understand that if my man can't even spring for shrimp dinner at Long John Silvers he is NOT worth my time!

FYI, Tylor's mother appears with her on the Atlanta Public Access TV9 show and offers the last word (probably the only real defense any of us have): stay prayed up!

ALSO CHECK OUT ALEXYSS' HALLOWEEN SHOW! Really love the schtick about the government cheese! (You know, the more I watch these videos I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't a comedy sketch afterall? If not, then it's the most brilliant performance art since Karen's Finley's I'M AN ASS MAN!)
