Redken's "Inspire Change Cut-A-Thon"
By Shanon Kelley
This morning, myself and one of my favorite PAPER buddies, Barbara Ragghianti, headed over to the Redken headquarters and salon on Fifth Avenue and 46th street. We went for their "Inspire Change" cut-a-thon. For $30 I got a fabulous hair cut by a Redken "performing artist," but most importantly I got to donate to Redken's partner for the event, Couture For Cancer, a non-profit dedicated to supplying hair to those who've lost theirs due to chemotheraphy. Not too shabby, right? I donated to charity AND got a fabulous haircut -- all before lunch!
My hairstylist was a fabulous lady by the name of Terrie who came all the way from Cleveland. Apparently all of the stylists working today were donating their time to fly out for this charitable event. Redken definitely has a great styling partnership program.
Here are our "before" and "after" photos -- plus a shot of all the stylists hard at work.
