The Bunny Report: Gossip Girl Does Fergie Ferg.

By Jordan Kinney

So I’m like, whatever, about this new show Gossip Girl, but I accidentally keep watching it because it’s on right after my fave show ever America’s Next Top Model -- oh, you know, the epic reality series that’s pretty much a delusional letter of self-love (and sometimes also about, like, modeling, I guess) written by none other than modern-day transvestite icon Tyra Banks? Loves it!

And as you might also know, I totally loves the mildly R&B (Rap? Pop? Whatev) stylings of two-time PAPER cover lady Stacey Fergie Ferg. Which brings me to this clip, in which the entire being of Gossip Girl redeemed itself to me, for one brief glimmer, as the young rich beautiful private school-attending UES sinners do a choral reworking of SFF’s “Glamorous.” Someone send this to the Mormon Tabernacle, stat!

The Bunny Report: Wide-legged Pants "TOTALLY Retarded My Speedwalk."

By Jordan Kinney

jordan kinney

I tried to be all progressive with these wide-legged pants but I pretty much stopped caring after all that extra fabric kept like, flapping in the wind -- they TOTALLY retarded my speedwalk. I expected the typical public reactions to what I normally wear (outrage, denial, hurt) and yet the delinquent youths on my street were noticeably more hesitant with their multilingual verbal abuse. Whatev, I don’t care what my hateful neighbors say (or don’t say), it was way hard to maintain my dramatic runway pace in these giganto trousers and for that reason I now contractually oblige myself to exclusively adorn pants that fit like spandex leggings -- or sans pants I shall stroll! But I digress. I thought this entire outfit was pretty nice until I realized this other dude wore something strikingly similar (down to the crown-perched hat!) in a certain music video I’d recently encountered during an accidental viewing of TRL (What? I couldn’t find the remote!)...

Peaches "Dumps" on Alanis Doing Fergie

By David Hershkovits

Perez Hilton is known as a scandalous Internet gossip monger, but I find that his musical tastes are pretty good, too. He was an early Amy Winehouse and Mika booster and he keeps a good eye out for cool new videos. All by way of thanking him for calling attention to this video ditty cooked up by Peaches in response to a recent Alanis Morisette video parody of Fergie's "My Humps." Of course, Peaches being Peaches takes it up a notch by titling her contribution to this growing cannon "My Dumps" -- as in poop. You know it.

Alanis Sends Up Fergie

By David Hershkovits

We all love YouTube. It's an amazing resource for lost footage of great performances of one kind or another as well as a great outlet for new creative work. It has alas brought the much maligned genre of the musical video back from the dead. The latest one storming the Internet world is Alanis Morisette's devestating parody of the Black Eyed Peas and Fergie's "My Humps." She not only sends up the song, but the video takes a page from the YouTube aesthetic -- though it's intentionally bad unlike a lot of the just plain bad that's out there. Here's a funny take on the video.
