Pets on PAPER: Meet Maleko Kekoa Blanche

What's your name? Maleko Kekoa Blanche (maleko means mark and kekoa means the brave in hawaiian... my daddy named me after himself.)
How old are you? One year and three months.
What breed of dog are you? I'm a male toy deer Chihuahua.
What are your pastimes? Sleeping, going to the beach, listening to music (my favorite is Hawaiian), playing fetch, sunbathing, acting like a raccoon, learning obedience words in Hawaiian, doing tricks to get treats, getting spoiled by everyone especially my mommy and being very, very cute all day long!!!
What's your favorite PAPER cover and why? Rihanna... because she's very cute like me and she has a wonderful voice!

Hello Kitty - Cute and Unusual Punishment!

Love this story in the New York Times about naughty Thai police being punished by wearing Hello Kitty armbands! Always nice to start out the day with a LOL guffaw. Thanks Gray Lady! You might want to add a Hello Kitty insignia to your stuffy ole masthead as well!

No matter how many ribbons for valor a Thai officer may wear, if he parks in the wrong place, or shows up late for work, or is seen dropping a bit of litter on the sidewalk, he can be ordered to wear the insignia.“Simple warnings no longer work,” said Pongpat Chayaphan, acting chief of the Crime Suppression Division in Bangkok, who instituted the new humiliation this week.

Pets on Paper: Meet Potato Persepolis Sutherland

What's your name? Potato Persepolis Sutherland
How old are you? I am 3.8 months old, I’m an Aquarius.
What breed of cat are you? Persian
What are your pastimes? I just got a new cardboard box, I spend a lot of time with it. I jump into it then I jump out of it. Then in, then out. My local park is Tompkins Square. I want to learn to skateboard. I also love spaghetti and taking baths.
What's your favorite PAPER cover and why? I think Pharrell with all the hearts on it. He’s a good role model cause he’s drug-free and his sneakers are cool.
