Horse Humping Flick: Zoo

Wait until you see the new movie called Zoo! It's pretty terrific and based on a real incident in which a man was dropped off at an emergency room in Seattle, Washington, dying with a perforated colon. This incident went on to reveal a secret ring of “Zoos," men into bestiality who partied at a remote farm. Director Robinson Devor obviously was obsessed with the true story and attempts to tell it in a fanciful, alternative way. The gorgeously photographed compositions make you think you’re watching a Terrence Malick film but then you catch yourself -- oh, wait, it’s about guys having sex with horses. Still it’s artful, haunting and disturbing all the same. This Think Film release (opening in late April) will prove to be very controversial because of the subject matter but it doesn’t play out that way when you see it. Don’t miss it. It also gives new meaning to My Friend Flicka.
