Tokyo Style: A.P.C. Underground
By Kat Clements

A.P.C. Underground is a bunker-like orb settled below buzzy, busy, bizarre Takeshita Street, featuring current items from the A.P.C. collection plus a smattering of one-offs, and hard to finds, like these simple and sturdy bags. Exclusive to this subterranean store, these totes give off the same military-issue simplicity and organic symmetry as the shop itself. And since you're bound to lose your bearings among the warren-like streets of Tokyo, that little compass is sure to come in handy.

A.P.C. To Open "Surplus Store" in Williamsburg
By Alexis Swerdloff

We kinda slacked over break when it came to checking our go-to blogs, so we missed this nugget from Racked: One of our favorite brands that we can almost afford but not quite (which makes it extra-frustrating) A.P.C. is opening up an outlet called A.P.C. Surplus on Grand Street near Kent Avenue sometime in mid-January, most likely on the 11th. We had heard rumors of said shop, and are glad to see them confirmed! According to men.style.com, the shop will "will carry customized vintage military pieces, discounted items from past seasons, and, of course, the line's signature denim products..."

The Shopping Bug: Spring Wedges & Summer Sandals
By Carol Lee

Although it doesn't feel anything close to balmy, technically it is spring and around this time of the year I always start thinking about shoes that you wear sans socks. I've been doing some research (that means eye-shopping and no actual buying) on spring fling shoes at Jeffrey, Miu Miu, Intermix (secretly every girl I know checks out Intermix) and online department stores.
The three big things I saw everywhere and by every designer for spring/summer are patent leather, peep toes and ankle straps. I'm really feeling the shiny leather look since everything I love ends up being patent. Peep toes I'm not too crazy about but they can work as both casual and dressy, and they give your toes some ventilation. But I really don't care for ankle straps. I think they are uncomfortable (like they're going to cut off your blood circulation any sec) and they are hard to pull off no matter how leggy you might be.
