Bad Brilliance caught in the act!

It's not hard to commit to one Tuesday night out of every month. Especially when that night is being curated by an all star cast of adorable boys known as Bulldozier. Santo's Party House has embraced this crew fully. In fact, they even asked the Bulldozier boys to redecorate the entire place. So over the course of the next few weeks, we'll see our fav new-ish party spot transform into something that is tasteful and favorably disgraceful all at once.

There is Andrew Strasser, who you'll likely see all dolled up as his alter ego, Bad Brilliance. This is a character that wears a giant yellow balloon with the title "Bad Brilliance" for a head (you may have seen him getting kicked out of any number of high profile clubs or fancy functions, including the Guggenheim Young Collector's Ball). Santo's has briefed their entire staff of security to keep him inside at all cost. He is a blessing and the perfect riot for any self-respecting establishment.

Then we have Frankie Musarra of the newly outfitted Hearts of Darknesses crew. I first encountered Frankie showering an audience with pumpkin innards during a Halloween performance where he banged out a serious cover of "Bullet with Butterfly Wings." Shawn Lovejoy is a part of this band of weird-siders and he's always got a trick or two up his sleeve. Last night he had a roll of sticky gold tape which he unwound and wrapped around a gaggle of girls on one of the stages downstairs.

The crowd was as diverse as ever, and the music was fantastic with the myriad of DJs taking turns at the booth. A highlight at the "tables" was the Stay High duo, who banged out louder than life beats that kept the audience dancing hard and strong. Andrew Strasser's visuals were total genius. His videos can be found on the stages of any Girl Talk or White Williams show, and they're a definite crowd pleaser. And, in the context of this party, totally essential.

I'm not sure when the exact date of the next bash is, but I will keep you informed. Expect big things from this party. These people are serious about having fun. GET INTO IT!!!
